Default ported LS1 heads vs ported LS2 heads

How much better are a set of LS2 heads that are fully ported vs fully ported LS1 heads? Is it worth the upgrade?

Ls2 heads are the 243/or 799 casting head that ls6 z06 engines came with minus the sodium filled exhaust valve. They are great heads with smaller combustion chambers and can be had cheap.

All things equal the ls2 heads will always outflow the ls1 heads. I guess your goals and the price will determine whether or not its worth it.

I've had my H/C setup for about 5 years now and I'd like to upgrade, Patriot Performance has ported LS2 heads for $1295. If LS2 heads alone could gain me 20-30hp I would probably get them.
