Exhaust Tips

I would like to replace the stock exhaust tips on my 04 with something stainless and bigger. The car will be up on jack stands. It looks like I need to at least un-bolt the muffler hangers and possible un-bolt the flanges in order to grind off the welds. If you have done this what did you have to do and what tips did you use? Did my 04 come from the factory with an "H" pipe? Mine looks like someone added a cross over piece. Later! Frank

i purchased some "stainless" tips from a shop that specializes in vettes in the richmond area. i won't mention their name. within a year, they rusted out, so i removed them. :-(
