I made the numbers in my sig with stock Ls1 heads that have been milled. I am also still running a stock Ls1 intake & stock unmodified Ls1 airbox. I didnt have the money to replace these parts at the time I bought everything else, so I am saving for aftermarket heads and complete intake setup now.

You can mill your Ls1 heads to bring up the compression, or you can use sandpaper to simply clean up the intake and exhaust runners. I wouldnt recommend porting them yourself, but it is easy to sand them just enough to take the roughness out of the runners without disrupting the flow characteristics or changing the runner cc by much. You can also polish the exhaust runners once you smooth them out some. I have done this in the past, but at this point I would just buy Ls6 heads for ~$400 or spend a little more and buy some mild name brand heads.

Just curious while I was looking at your sig. How did you make more torque than horsepower? Did they stop the dyno run before 5252 rpms?
