Driver's door lock switch
Just wanted a second opinion on this...
Recently, my door lock switch on the driver's side stopped working. The unlock switch still works.
The door lock switch on the passenger door will still lock both doors, leading me to believe that the problem is in the driver's switch itself (or wiring), and not the door lock actuator.
I removed the door switch assembly and disconnected the wire harness, reconnected it, jiggled the wires, but no luck.
Are the switch assemblies known to go bad? Are they repairable? I'm tempted to just get a replacement, but would rather repair if possible.
Bypass the switch with a jumper between Pins #9 and 14, and you will know if the switch is bad. This schematic is from '02 service manual, your's might be different.
