Default New Rotors ?

I need new rotors. I'm tracking my car 3 a year. I don't want to buy new rotors and I have cracks on them. (no bling bling for me, no drilled rotors)

What are your advices / experience ?

OEM or Aftermarket (which)?

Brembo Slotted ?

I've got stock rims (magnesium), what rotor size ? (does 13' rear rotors fit the stock rims)

just buy the cheap NAPA rotors, you can get 1-2 hard races out of them before they need to be replaced...most guys that run scca or a track day will need to replace pads, rotors and fluid after 1-2 races..

I have d/s rotors I use for the street. For track days, I use the stock rotors w/track pads. I scan the For Sale section as people are always selling their stock rotors when the repl with the d/s. I usually get them for around $35 plus shipping for fronts or $50 for all 4. The NAPA route is pretty good way to go. CF members get disc at Rock Auto, and they have the best price, but shipping will just kill you. Good luck.

Hey,

You will get some good info asking this in the road race/autox forum.

The stock brakes, as you know are great. They do crack some, but it is still a lot cheaper in time and money to use the stock setup and just replace them at they crack. I do that, I have several sets just waiting for the summer. But, with your location it may be a little more expensive.

The big brake kits can still crack. But, yes if you can get a good setup they should do that less often.

How often do you crack a rotor? That will give someone who knows more than me a little insight to your driving.

Do you have brake duct extenders and spindle ducts? I would do that before changing the brakes. It will help the life of the rotors.

Good luck!

some friends have cracked brembo rotors at the first track.

Napa is the way to go , I'm agree, but as I'm living in France... shipping cost are High.

GM Price here for stock rotors are $1000.

I've just found EBC rotor in Uk : EBC Dimpled and Slotted Sport Discs.
Good price, free shipping cost

Experience with them ?

Have you checked out shipping from rockauto.com?

No personal experience with EBC. Dimpled and slotted should not be a problem.

Here is the guy for the duct extensions: http://www.dougrippie.com/
