Check engine light keeps coming on randomly after P0137 and P0157 are cleared (can happen after driving between 2 and 200 miles). These codes say they are low voltage in sensor 2.
What is sensor 2, and does this mean that it should be changed? Car runs fine, but a little rich, but it has always run rich. LS1 engine not stock and has been "upgraded" by Vette Drs about 20K miles ago.
Will just clearing the oxygen sensor codes damage any other system?
Yes, it has headers, so I take it that these are the front oxygen sensors mounted in the headers? Do you usually replace both? How critical (time wise) is it to replace these, re: can it cause other damage to other systems?
Those are the bank 1 sensors. I would first check wiring, intake and vacuum connections, plus air cleaner, thottle body, maf, for residue buidup, etc..
When you had headers and other items installed, was car tuned for these additions? If not, your fuel trims are most likely way off among other tune items. JMO, Mike.
yes, car was tuned to accept all modifications. Being that the problem is intermittent, that was the dilemma. Happened once a couple of years ago, but went away, and now is back on a regular basis.
