exhaust gasket
2000 corvette
is there suppose to be a gap where the exhaust manifold ends and the exhaust pipes begin?
I recently bought my car and noticed that when you accelerate you hear air escaping and i think it might be because of this gap.
should there be a gasket between these two parts?

Yes there is a gap. It should have a gasket in it. Take it to a muffler shop and have them tighten it. If that does not fix the hissss, put in new gaskets. While it is on the rack they can see if any other leaks are present. Good luck.
