1. How do i remove the dang 6pin connection off the MAF? i was trying for a little while last night but gave up because i had to be up early. Im sitting at work and will finish when i get home and just trying to figure out if there is some trick to removing it.

2. What could cause the DIC not to pull codes but still cause a "Service Vehicle Soon" message to appear? Thanks in advance

Service Engine Soon will be PCM.

Service Vehicle soon will be other Codes. Did you scroll through them all? Not even any "H" Codes?

What about the oil life monitor? If that goes to zero does it say Service Vehicle Soon?

Did you change your oil recently and forget to clear the oil life monitor?

Did you fill up with fuel and forget to ratchet the gas cap?

Either could trip the Check Vehicle Soon ...

I have changed my oil lately and gas but i did reset the oil life monitor its at like 60% now, and the gas thing its been doin it for a while and i always ratcheted it. Other symptoms that started when the service vehicle soon thing is on. It has to turn over for a second or 2 to start and it idles rough. no codes, i have changed plugs, wires, fuel filter and im stumped. Local mechanic said fuel related issues,i.e. lack of pressure will not produce codes but would account for the symptoms of the rough idle and the harder than usual to start. Any thoughts?
