Alignment question...
If I'm wearing the insides of my fronts, it means I'm not driving hard enough....Well, when I get the car aligned after a slight lowering, can I compensate for driving style by altering the factory settings/ And if so, how much alteration will produce better tire wear? Like one degree? 1/2 degree? (I do drive it fairly spiritedly...)I do not have access to a tech who has enough experience with the C-5 to help out...thanks, Dave
Sounds like you need some specific information.
If you want acceptable tire wear for street driving, the camber needs to be zero to no more than -1/8 degrees, and toe-in zero to 1/32".
The Z06 can be as much as -1.2 degrees negative and still be within factory specs, but you will get significant inside tire wear.
My theory is that if you run a lot of negative camber, and you drive hard enough to wear the tire out evenly, you will not get any more miles out of the tire, you will just wear them out evenly. If you want to increase tire longevity you need to back off the negative camber, and you will probably not notice any difference in handling.
