2nd gear grinding AGAIN
i'm thinking its a bent shift fork or something. it only has about 10k miles on it since the rebuild (stock parts), but the place that warrantied it only replaced the gear and synchro. they didn't diagnose anything.
if you don't hold it in gear when you are letting the clutch out, it will pop out of gear and grind. once you let the clutch out, its fine though
what else could it be?
and no, it doesn't need the "driver mod"

i don't know what fluid is in it. the place i bought it from (which "warrantied" it) is now out of business with MANY fraud charges against them. they probably reused the old fluid to save money.

Good lord. Well try to change the fluid first see if that helps, do not use Mobil 1 Synth ATF with a '99.
Does it feel like the shifter still "detents" slightly when putting it into/taking it out of gear?

had the same problem with a 98 mustang cobra I had way back.... only happened in second gear, but became more and more frequent as time went on. after getting syncro replaced, it was perfect.
