Default Column Lock question

Hi. When I bought my 03 Z06 last year, I had the service records that showed that the CL dealership "fix" had been performed. Now since i have taken my car out for the spring, just the last couple weeks I am getting the split second buzz when i take my key out of the ignition. It never did this last year. Does this mean my CL is active again?? Should I just by the CL bypass kit and be done with it?

thanks

Derek

If the dealer performed the recall correctly, the actuator should still cycle when you turn the key, but the column cannot lock because the lockplate is removed.
It could be that the actuator stuck for awhile, and has freed itself.
Your concern should not be whether the actuator works or not, but rather is the Harness K relay working so that you are not getting any error messages.

I'd get the CLB installed before it fails again.
