An update on shock prices. The price difference between the C5Z and C6Z shocks isn't as bad as some may think. You can buy the C5Z06 shocks for $289.95 from Zip Products. I have no idea whether the C6Z shock is better in a C5 application but I do know GM Engineers at Carlisle in Aug. 03 recommended that owners of 01 through 03 Zs should upgrade to the 04 shocks since they would perform better especially on bumpy surfaces. I would consider their advice to be more than anecdotal as they know the suspensions.

From what I found out, The shocks from Zip are NOT the 2004 Z06 shocks. Probably the 02-03. Just ordered some C6 Z06 shocks!
