Installed bypass from C5solutions and I get the "Pull Key---Wait 10 Seconds" message every time the key is removed for a few minutes. I pulled the appropriate fuses per the instructions and still no help. Pulling the key and re-inserting it repeatly gets no message----only when left out for several minutes. No response yet from C5solutions. After removing the bypass and putting back to original configuration, column locks and unlocks with no message. Anyone else have this problem?
I have the exact same problem with mine. Tried EVERYTING, but still gives me the message at every startup (ok, not *every* startup, but at least 95% of startups). C5 Solutions was very helpful and did try to resolve the problem by sending me a replacement module, but that one did the exact same thing.
C5 Solutions says that it is some type of timing incompatibility between the BCM of some C5's and the CLB module. They did offer to refund my purchase, but I declined, and thought I'd try to make it work or live with it.
My next step is to pull the column lock and mechanically neutralize it.
I do get the error message immediately, every time, after reinserting the key, IF THE KEY IS OUT OF THE IGNITION FOR SEVERAL MINUTES. Trying to get a response from C5 Solutions. By the way, it's a '98, but not included in the column lock recall VINs. Thanks!
