Bottom line is different brands run different widths by quite a wide margin. I've got 19x11 HRE's in the back of my car with 295/35 BFG KDW2's and they look perfect. No poke, no stretch.

That's EXACTLY what I had on my 2000 SS 275's up front and 315's on my 17x11's !

Trying to match up tire sizes on the Vette with 17's up front and 18's on the rear is a PAIN IN THE REAR !!!

And there's NO WAY in heck I'm paying $1500 bucks for tires !

You could just try to squeeze 335/30/18s on those 10.5s. Find a narrow brand and it might help. They will fit, I have seen pics on stock Z06 wheels and they aren't too bad. They will bulge quite a bit though - just the opposite of what you currently have. Plus 335/30/18s are gonna be expensive in any brand. Maybe some KDW2s? Have to worry about them possibly sticking out past the fender and/or rubbing the fender liner. No easy solution.

Or you could just sell the wheels and buy a different set that has more advantageous sizing decisions

OK...all good info. So before I punk down a wad of cash; does anyone know if same diameter (or close to same size) would affect the handling systems?

I agree, the tire size looks different for the different manufacturers of tires. I use Sumitomo HTR Z III 275/40-17 up front and BFG KDW 2 at 295/35-18 on stock Alcoa ZO6 rims no problem. The Sumitomos are only $110 a tire and the BFG's are about $250 and what a day and night difference than the stock EMT tires. Hope that helps you!

OK...so yesterday I called up my engine builder who has a small club of currently 5-6 c5 track club racers. (We have the Elkhart Lake race track within 15 min. drive.) and they attend several events in Ohio too.

Anywho...he says that several of the c5's are running same size diameter tires. Whether they are different sizes but overall same diameter or same sizes (like 275's all around).

He's had no problems yet, unless you go with an aspect ratio that would give you a taller front tire. Then your ABS may send up an error code.

Not to confuse anyone, they are running competition tires though.

I think 315's look BADA$$ in the back and will go ahead with his advice and purchase the 275/40 and 315/30 set up.

Just some more info. for you to think about...

Not from the bible
