I had to go out today, and all of a sudden the Active Handleing message came on and the was a decrease in power for a brief moment. This happened about a half dozen times. Then on the way home it did it again may 3 - 4 times. Each instance is brief (maybe 2-5 seconds. Also I noticed that twice this morning when I applied the brakes they was slight vibration in the pedal. That has not happened any more.
Any ideas?
I did check the codes and the only code that came up was 28TCS C1287H.
I had a TCS C1287H code reappear several times over the past 6 months. When it started happening daily I had my mechanic replace the Steering Wheel Position Sensor. Hopefully no more codes.
There are several threads where members found that if they were only getting a C1287 code, then the fix was just the SWPS replacement (and not a companion issue with the Electronic Body Control Module computer). I hope that turns out to be true for me.
