TPM errors

before you ask, yes i searched. no help there.
I trained my 4 sensors today after getting them installed in my new wheels. i followed the procedure just fine. the rears work like they should, but the front gives me this:
TPM: Left: xxx Right:xxx
what does that mean? The front sensors came from a 00' FRC, the rears were from a 98'. shouldn't matter right, as 97-00 are interchangeable. Those 00's i got from my friend and they worked in his car just two months ago.
ideas guys? is there something special you have to do when installing them?
appreciate the help!

If so, the batteries only have a seven-year life expectancy. Give or take a couple of years or so, depending upon the mileage on the car.
Or they could have been damaged during removal or installation.
My original sensors on my 2000 still work as do my cousin's 1999 originals, but you can bet they are all on borrowed time.
