Output Shaft Diameter does matter.
There is a difference on the thickness of the shaft that we at Breathless Performance manufacture; ours are 1.338 in the center, which is where the stock ones have been breaking. We tried going to the stock size and other metals but they still would break under load testing. These Output shafts start with a steel high strength rod that is over 1.338 and then brought down to 1.338 not less. Size does matter… Please go to our online catalog to lookup and see a picture of the output shaft
Ours do not taper down in the middle, which reduces the overall strength. Through our rigorous testing we only used the best steel and correct thickness to produce this high quality product.
