Default Outside Temp Display

I did a search and turned up nothing. I'm never good at using the right search words I guess. Anyway, my "outside temp display" seems to read a false number about half the time. The other half of the time it seems pretty darn close. Anybody have any ideas what I have here? Thanks in advance. ..."pear"

Check the sensor/connections. They do corrode. It's located on passenger side lower radiator mount.

This thread offers a few ideas and pics...

Buy a new sensor. They're really cheap. If you look at the front of the car at the air intake for the radiator, it's near the front on the passenger side.

Thanks guys. Cleaning the connection seems to have worked but I'm picking up a new one just to be sure. Thanks "pear"
