Shifter problems
Anyone else ever have this problem with an A4 tranny? The shifter seems to be off the track or something to that nature.
If you push the button and slide it directly into drive, I've been able to literraly get the shifter to slide back and forth freely without engaging anything, not reverse, not drive, nothing. Usually it'll go from P to R with no problem but to go into N you have to push the button and pull it back and you can feel it slide a little forward about an 1/8" and you here the click where it engages. Samething from N to OD. You push the button, (mental picture here) slide the shifter back until you kinda feel the pin engage into the hole and then you kinda nudge it forward about an 1/8" and you'll here the click.
This is really annoying. Anyone had this happen before???
