Re: ASP Pulleys finally in stock!!! (Chris@SpeedDemon)
What were all the stories I heard of the aftermarket pulleys coming apart ? :confused: Is this the manufacturer that had the problem ? Whether or not they are, what was the problem with them, and how was it fixed ?
How difficult is the install of this kit? How many pulleys does it come with? Does it underdrive the AC system and will it not be as cold as stock in the summertime? and of course, how much REAL performance gain can we expect? thanks
Sorry guys. Been out inthe shop most of the day. Looks like the answers have been supplied by Buckmaster(thanks) are dead on. There is one more benefit. The stock engines have bad harmonics. This leads to excess wear and tear on the engine and bearings. Changing to one of these pulleys can help alleviate this.
Let me know if you have any other questions.
Thanks,
hey, Chris;
can you do any better on the price? i just got an email from LS1speed.com advising they have them for $209 and in stock. not putting you on the spot, just that the price seems a tad tall.
Re: ASP Pulleys finally in stock!!! (Chris@SpeedDemon)
:seeya I've just got mine...$245.00 is a fair price shipped :yesnod:
Be sure your getting the original ASP..That's the one to get.
Several vendors are asking $249-$269+shipping right here on the forum mall.
Get'em while Chris has got'em.There has been a drout here for several months.People have had these pulleys ordered for a while now! :chevy :chevy
Hey guys,
The car will not need to be alligned after install. Install is with mostly basic tools aside from the pulley puller. It is a pretty long job as you have to remove the steering arm. This is a perfect time to install a camshaft while you are there also! We can offer installs on these as well as cams and we have a few more spots open on our heads and cam special also!!!
Give me a ring if you have any questions or would like to order. We would be happy to help.
Thanks,
If you are familiar with working on cars and have a pretty good set of tools, there is really no reason that you cannot change the camshaft. If you search the internet, there are some very good pictorial how to's that will help you out. Of course, for most people, I would recommend having a professional install these parts. :)
Up around you, the Vette Doctors do great work. If I were you though, I would ship your car down to us and we can take care of it for you! :lol: :lol: :lol:
