Rough Idle,Could be!!!

Rough Idle,Could be!!!
Well over the weekend I had to change the oil sender unit,I had noticed a few months back a little fliud right near the intake and could not find the souce and I began to get a rough idle.While I was putting the sender in my friend said that the PCV valve and hose were very loose,So we put it on the best we could with plans on replacing it and the rough idle is gone.
There are a fair share C5 of guys complaining about rough Idle's so it's worth a check,I'm no Mechanic and had a couple look at it that did'nt find it.
Does anyone know what the gound on it is for!!!

Its not a ground although it sure looks like one. Its a heat strap type thing to assist the PCV valve in heating up to the block temperature. My guess is that it helps keep the PCV valve from getting sticky when its cold.
