HID headlight issues..
i've seen this problem on prior threads, but couldnt find them. i have HIDs from a vendor and recently when the headlight doors popped up, the lights remained off. had to turn on brights to drop doors

thanks for the replies and the link.. i read about wiring an extra bulb for resistance, but my headlights didn't come on when the doors raised.. that struck me as odd.. it's only done it twice

The GM wiring doesn't always support the current required to fire the HID arc. If you're not using a relay harness, this will be a frequent problem.

i've had 'em for probably 2 yrs w/ no probs till recently.. it came with the ballasts and the wire harnesses.. i've yet to really piddle w/ it to find the cause.. figured i'd check here first
