Assuming you wanted your car to sound like a stock LS1/LS6 (no whistling, whining or excessive rumbline) and have minimal vibration/lope, what would be the best way to get into say the 500 rwhp range?
Some kind of "cheater" cam w/ no lope, full bolt-ons and Z06 Ti mufflers. But I've never understood the point in wanting to make a flashy sportscar into a "sleeper".
I can udnerstand taking an old beatup SVO Mustang and making it fly or some crazy off-the-wall car nobody would expect to be fast... that'd be fun. But John Q Public expects a Corvete to be a fast car.

Because just like how there are counter-terrorism groups, there will be counter sleeper sleepers
When someone approaches you for a race (for $) thinking your car is already fast, they've obviously done something to their car to make it faster. They may not want to bother racing a vette if they see a super charger or a turbo, but a stock one should be an easy win. So now you're all geared up to screw over someone who scams people claiming oh yeah my mustang/civic/whatever is stock but I'm a good driver or whatever bs line they feed you.
^ No I get it... if you want to F with people for money at the dragstrip then just take a stock C5 on wagon wheels and put a stall/gears/juice Make sure you hide the juice setup well

In the late 90's when the C5 first came out, it was a fast car, but now that most every performance car coming of an assembly line has 300+ hp there are plenty of cars that will give a base C5 a run for it's money.

Twin turbo set-up (TTiX). Won't see or hear it until you put your foot into it.
Big cubes and a mild stroker cam. Not many will be able to tell if you swap blocks in a C5 -- 6.0L block .030 over with a 4" stroke, or a nice 427

I agree, i have the tti x kit and you cant hear a thing at idle. at full boost with the blow off is another story. Even a quick glance under the hood and most wont even see anything that hints turbos. You can safely make 525 at the wheels on a stock ls1. I love messing with imports when my blow off is louder then theirs when i blow by them.
