Squeeky suspension!!!
squeek. I'm thinking it has something to do with the adjustable suspension.
Any other thoughts or suggestions would be great. Thank you.
Have you checked to see that all of your suspension bolts are tight. Also check your transverse springs.
I'm in the boat with you. C5 Z45 still squeeks. I put in 3 sets of sway bar bushings on the lube it and it will not stop. Then I replaced the sway bar with z06 bars, bushings, links and still squeeks.I checked all ball joints and there are no issues. I am comming to the conclusion that the adjustable shocks are squeeking in the top seal area. I have a complete set of New takeoffs for my car and will test this by changing out the shocks with 85,000 miles for ones with 5000. I know the take offs are really new because I bought them in 99 for a 99 and the car was someone I knew.
The only delay is I have a back issue which stopped me cold from doing the swap. Doc gave me bed rest only until back heals up. So I will still do this swap but it might take 2 to 3 weeks before I can get
back to it. If I find this is a problem there are 2 options for you.
1) replace your adjustable shocks with new at ~$450 each
2) Replace your shocks with stock and make the resistor to fool your computer into thinking you still have them.
I did the calcualtions a few years ago for the resistor size to make this happen and it does work. If you don't want to make your own resistors there is a co. making a plug in part (resistor with plug) and you can buy them and just plug and play.
So I will let you know more as my back heals up enough so I can do the shock swap.

Today I could not take it any longer. I pulled the front shocks from my 99 Z45 suspension. Close inspection of the top bushing showed wear and visibly off center. I had a set of 4 new (takeoffs w/10,000 miles) boxed ready to install marked with correct part numbers.
I swapped out the front 2 shocks and did a test drive. WOW what a difference. NO SQUEEK in the front at all. Consider I have been fighting this for 2 years with poly sway bar bushings, endlinks, lubes and all the other stuff trying to fix the squeek. Never did I expect the F45 shocks to squeek this much. Now the only squeek is the rear and I will be out of town for the week so the rear will have to wait until I return. With 4 new F45 shocks I won't know how to drive with no squeeks and the radio back to normal levels. While working on the front shock my wife stopped in to see what was going on. Her comment, you should not be doing that. I agreed and said lets go buy a NEW C6. Well you know the story I finished the front shocks and the rear are scheduled for next week.
So if you have the F45 adjustable ride and squeeks consider new shocks. If you don't want to pay the Big $450+/shock you can use standard shocks with the F45 bypass resistor on the plug in to keep the error codes clear.
vettdvr WHEEEE No more squeeking!
Hold on to your socks.I bought the shocks in 2000 from a car mod take off, so I have had them in a box for the last 8 or so years.
GM Part # 10445856 RF
10445857 LF
10445858 RR
10445859 LR
They are about $450 EACH. There is a new set of 4 on Ebay for $1900
You can convert to regular shocks but you MUST do the bypass adaptor. This will tell your computer that you have the correct shocks. If you don't the computer will limit you to 80 mph. The adaptor is basically a wire wound resistor you can buy at radio shack. I did the calculations a few years ago for the guys on this site before the adaptors became commercially available.
So it is possible to convert.
If you want to convert pm me and I will see what I can find. You might also do a search on bypass F45 on the tech site for C5.
But new shocks are available from GM and I am sure they would be really proud to sell them to you.
vettdvr ................ Whew finally not squeeking.
