Default water drip

I have noticed water dripping out of a metal tube that is on the firewall just above the starter. It falls on the exhaust and burns off. I don't know if this is normal or if it is a problem. This is not a a/c line. It looks like it is suppose to drain water, like a overflow.

well the ac condensation drip line is on the firewall just above the starter. Are you saying you have an additional line?

Maybe someone added the metal tube to re-rout the ac line so it didn't drip on the exhaust and it came loose/moved?

For photos of the AC firewall drain (engine side) See post's #3 & #10 in this thread -

It is a rubber tube with a right angle shape. If this ever gets clogged, it can (and will) dump water onto the BCM in the passenger footwell. Not good.

Thanks for the info. It is kind of hard to see it. I guess it is the a/c evap drain . It is a small L shaped line give or take a couple of inches long coming out of the firewall just above the starter. I suppose all is ok since it is dripping after I shut the a/c and car off.
