Is this something you can do yourself with time or do you need to have someone install them ? Fl Misfits....those of you that have them, where did you have them put on or did you do it yourself ?
Hi Mongoose,
My friend and I installed my shorty headers so I think you can do it yourself.
Most of install is done from the top ie: removing the OEM manifold and inserting and bolting up the new header.
From below you have three bolts on each side to remove for the flange and the O2 sensor wiring.
Also take care and notice hold the dip stick removes and installs...you may have to modify the mounting braket.
I think if you budgeted six hours would be fine.

FRC Tom has 'em and so does dmc1007 and I believe Purerock105 has 'em too....I think maybe with the help of TLewis and others, we should be able to do it :D
If your referring to shorties..you can do it with a friend .If your referring to Long tubes well then you need a lift and someone who has been under the car before.Take a peek at my homepage for TPIS header install pics...:D
Most long tubes require removing of the pre cats. You will have cutting and welding involved, especially if you include an X-pipe. Just takes time, one can unbolt/rebolt without too much of a problem.
I've got the TPIS and had Norris install them...TLEWIS also has TPIS but seeing that he is mechanically inclined and gifted, installed the headers himself..:)
