Default Weird HVAC problem '02 Z06

It looks like my HVAC is not working properly. It's a auto dual zone. There is absolutely no way to regulate the temperature, it's either cold or warm.

I have tried various settings see my results below:

ambient temperature: 67°
hvac set at lowest 60° on auto mode: cold air from aircon
hvac set at lowest 60° without aircon: ambient air but not warm
hvac set at 63°: hot air, i mean really warm.

so from the moment i change it from it's lowest setting i get hot air.

Any ideas would be appreciated because it's driving me nuts.

Regards, Xav

Thanks for your input Matt,

I had a look at the error codes, there is one in the HVAC module.

I don't have the B0441 or B0361 so that rules out the misaligned actuator.

B0338 H C -> Inside Air Temp Sensor Open

I suppose a faulty inside air temperature sensor could throw of the HVAC regulation.

Has anyone had this problem before? I will reset this code and see if it comes back.

Thanks, Xav

I have seen a few people with inside air temp problems - replacing the sensor usually seems to fix it. It is not too hard to replace.

Thanks poolboy.

Can somebody pull the part number for me please.

I don't have access to the GM parts system.

Many thanks for your help and regards from sunny France.

Right, i will check it out.

I contacted Gene before but the problem is the shipping cost is killing me (no usps shipping at gmpartshouse.com)

I will keep you guys posted of the progress.

In the meantime another pic of my vette. Sorry bad quality. For the record, the red car is faster than the yellow one.

I have this toy as well:
