I am very close to getting them. What rpm are you guys seeing in 6th at 65-75 (M6). Does anyone regret installing them? I drag race and will be participating in HPDEs also. Feedback appreciated. -Thanks
Are 3.90's bad for a mn6 that's a daily driver? I was told they wear out faster / have a weaker rack & pinion. I know nothing about it so I could be totally off...
..in my M6 coupe, couldn't be happier. 6th gear @80mph is turning 2700rpm's. 3rd gear is the power gear; all kinds of grunt now. Most of my local tracks (waterford, grattan for example) are 3rd gear tracks, with some 4th and 5th if I get the rythm right. You'll be running higher in the rpm band though; keep an eye on oil temps and be damn sure you're running the recommended 'one quart over' on the oil to prevent starvation.
Whatever rear set you go with, pay attention to the alignment of the gear set during install, and follow recommended break-in procedures for the type and manufacturer of your gear set. Grenading a rear end in these cars can be very costly!
3.90s here in a coupe, not sure what rpms im at at different speeds but ill try to remember and write them down... btw car feels very strong compared to my last FRC with 3.42's that was lighter and smaller wheels
I had them installed prior to getting the Vortech. Now I'm thinking they are a bit much. Before all the hp and tq they were great for the amount of hp I had.

The one thing I do know about gears is that they HAVE to match the power you're putting out. I can't imagine a 1000hp drag car would ever find traction with 4.11's installed. Would have to launch in 6th.
