Default Dealer cannot reprogram DCM

I have been having the same fuel gauge problems on my 2001 as the other C-5 owners. Did the Techron thing but decided to take it to the dealer to have the PCM reprogramed. This is there service bullentin repair. The mechanic said when he hooked up his equipment nothing was loaded. Everything showed "Unknown". His equipment could not reconize anything. He said someone must have put a different "Chip" in it and he had know way of knowing what it was or what he could do about it. Any idea's?

The latest "fuel gauge fix" TSB made my gauge worse (I unwilling got it with my CL recall).

As far as the tech not being able to read the PCM, did you or a previous owner get a custom tune? If so, that tuner must have locked it. And whoever locked it, will have to unlock it.

I did not get a custom tune. I am researching who the previous owner is and will try and contact him. Anyway to tell what was done or what was changed to make it read this way?

You will just have to contact the previous owner and see who he used to tune the PCM.
