Need help electrical prob
Kinda long, but need help, don't know anything about electrics.
2 weeks ago, installed clear corners, 60 LED switchbacks & hyperflash harness w / LED flasher. Everythings fine until last nite. Went to a cruise-in. Everybody starts to leave 3/4 hrs later. Walk up to car, deactivate alarm, watching parking lites & notice I didn't see any amber flash. Get in car, start it, turn on parking lites, flip on left turn signal & get out to chk, signal is working, but no switchback, no amber, just white, & no fog lites, turn on headlites, pop up & OK. But no fogs & no switchback operation. Now it's completely dark outside. Get back in, turn car off & headlites off. No retract, stay up. Start again, now no front turn signals on either side in front, rears are OK, have brake lites & tail lites. Turn all off, get out, scratch head, head lites still up. Gotta get home. Get in, When you enter a C5, all dash lites, buttons, door buttons, everything lights up. That's all OK, turn key to start, no lites inside, except for DIC readout, HUD display, clock, HVAC display, footwell, cargo lites & glove box lite. Everything else is out, dash, radio buttons, display, door buttons. Headlites still up but working, still no front turn signals, still have rear, tail & brake lites & HUD & all gauges are working & the MPH letters in speedo are lit up..
Drive 42 miles to home, back into garage, have backup lites, but now have no tail lights, but still have brake lites & left front turn signal flashes, but not the right, although still no switchback & headlites still do not retract. Try just starting car & no DRL's either, I replaced those with LED's also. Lock car up w / remote & turn sigs both sides flash plus the fog lites. If all of these lites work in various situations, then it can't be fuses blown can it? They either get power or not right?
To top it off, my friend w/98 coupe, just replaced his corner lites a couple of days after me & now he has no lites at all either. Think he used a different LED flasher, I have the square black one. I noticed when installing these LED's in stock sockets, that they don't seem to fit very well, kinda loose, could that be the problem & how would I fix that? I can't afford to put this thing in an electrical shop. Can anybody help me with this? Remember I have trouble getting a toaster to work properly. Thanks much ahead of time.
