traction control prob?
Normally my trac con is not overly intrusive, i.e., the tires will chirp in 1st and 2nd at WOT, and acceleration is still brisk, however, last nite I needed to get on it from about 30mph and tons of timing must've been pulled out because the car layed down bad. Have others noticed the trac con being more intrusive at times than at others? Also, w/ trac con off, my tranny shifts were abnormally hard (firm) last nite. Anyone experience this before?

I had mine lay done real bad one time getting on it in 2nd
gear. I didn't think to blame it on the TC but it makes sense
that the TC could be the problem. I haven't had it act up
since.

It might have been colder last night producing more hp than normal. Or the steet could have been slipery because of dew or dampness. Anyway, traction control did what it is designed to do. :)

TC is obtrusive when trying to pull out into traffic. I go to launch into traffic and the car will bog. :U

I get this too. M6 2001 coupe will "bog" on hard shifts into 2nd, 3rd, and 4th, if the conditions on road surface and weather are right. This is just the TC doing its job. Turn TC off and the rear tires break loose on the same shift.
