It started out as a simple day....a little rain and I use my wipers. First I just moved the switch to the momentary position and the wipers came on...but then they wouldn't park. They just stayed at the 1:00 position. When I used delay, they would go down but when I turned them off they would return to the 1 oclock position. After reading all the posts here I checked to see if there was water damage....nope. All the drains were clean. I cleaned them last year and keep them cleaned. I pulled the motor apart and looked inside, curious that I am but couldn't see anything obvious so I went down to Autozone and bought a rebuilt motor. I installed that and the same thing. I took the old one apart and messed around with the contacts inside a little and put it back together. I reinstalled that and viola!!!, they returned to park!!! But then when I check the other modes, mainly the delay, they don't work right. What happens is usually they should return to the lower position when they are in delay and not operating but these darn things stay in the 1 oclock position. When I turn them off, they do go to the park position....but this is sure pissing me off..... So, if anyone out there has any ideas I would sure like to hear them...I hate to get rid of the car just because the wipers don't work....Thanks in advance.
There was a post I found under search the other day that gave a measurement (4 to 5mm, I think) to set on the motor to make them park correctly. I will try to find it tonight if you still need it.

The first problem I had was they wouldn't park after I had used them so I pulled the motor out intending to replace it but got to "tinkering" with it, messed with the contacts inside the motor housing, cleaned them up a bit then reinstalled the motor and viola!, they went to park just like normal, but then when I went to intermittent, the "innerwipe" position was at the 12:00 position on the windshield...they still park when I turn them off though. Now I just hope it doesn't rain for awhile, lol. I checked out that other link and will try and adjust them to the 4-5 mm specs and see what that does. I've kept all the udders cleaned so no chance of water standing in the wells. Wish me luck....
