so lets hear your thoughts overall on QA1s vs the PFADT inverted shocks. My car is a street car thats slammed, will never see auto x and will go to the dragstrip once a month or two FWIW. thanks!
Niether, get the Koni FSD's, they are non adjustable so install and forget it, who has time to change settings dozen times if its adjustable shocks. Yes i have and love it, mine is slammed only an inch though on stock bolts.

That is a stupid argument. You can just as easily install Pfadt's Inverted shock and just leave them in the recommended setting. There is no requirement to fiddle with them. HOWEVER, at least you get the OPTION to do so if you want to. With the FSD's, you are stuck with the damping they came with.
I have driven a few cars with the inverted shocks and the ride was really nice. They are actually having a sale on them as well. Any questions just let me know.
Do you sell the PFADT stuff Chris? If you do, could you PM me the special price on them?
Basically they seem to be about the same shock, with adjustability for damping and rebound, but I like the PFADT's from reading because of their shorter body which will help with me being lowered, and they have 4 more settings than the QA1s.

They are not shorter then stock Z06 shocks. In fact they are a little longer fully compressed. Just call them and they will tell you that. I have them and I like them for autocross. I have stiffer springs, so the 1/8" longer is not a problem.
Maybe Z06 shocks are shorter in general but I do not have Z06 shocks, I have F45's.
The body is shorter, but the other end is longer. Fully compressed without the bump stops it's overall length is longer. You might be right in that the F45 shocks are longer then Z06. Not sure. I talked to Aaron before I bought them about the length in detail.

I've been recommended QA1s for the drag strip by a couple of racers. It is nice to have some adjustability.Stiff in the back and loose in the front for the track but I would want to equal that out for my 1500 mile trips to FL.I've also heard good things about the PFADTs.I think ECS has the PFADTs on their 8 second Vette.
Anyone know the price difference?
I'm getting ready to change out the shocks on my '01 Z. At first I thought the Bilstein Z51's were the best choice for the style of driving I do which consists mostly of Pacific Coast Hwy runs between SLO and Monterey. Lots of 2nd - 3rd gear hairpins and sweepers at 45-60 mph. No track time for my Z just want better compression control. Any consensus? Any serious drawbacks with the Bilsteins?
I've driven a car that had Bilstein Sports (slammed) and it was almost like a new car (it had 80k miles) That would be my choice, and use the saved money on other goodies (sway bars/bushings/etc)
Side note: there's a thread in here (with pics) of Bilstein HD shocks that have come apart internally on a lowered car in short time. Make sure you always use the Sports if you use Bilsteins.

only a couple hundred more than Bilsteins and I'll have the ability to adjust them when I go to the track and play around for best ride on the street! I have decided on picking up the PFADT's

perfect choice you won't be sorry, in Utah we have some of the worst roads (construction on I-15 and two long winters) and one of the smoothest tracks(Miller Motorsports Park) the Pfadts can handle it all
