I despise the auto-down window feature in my 2003 Coupe. Can anything be done to deactivate? I am assuming not, but would like to hear if anyone knows anything. And one odd thing--I can 'finesse' the passenger window switch on the drivers door and avoid auto-down on it, but cannot do it on the driver window switch. Do the switches on the driver's door interchange? Thanks, Ralph Boineau in central South Carollina.
IF they are working correctly, you can hold the button down on both sides and the window will stop when you let up on the button.
I actually bump my windows down a fraction of an inch to unload the motor and drive gears to reduce the chance they will stick. I can hit the down and up button fast enough that the glass only drops about 1/16 inch.
If your window does go to auto down mode, you can always hit the up button to stop it.

I`ve been doing that lately too & haven`t had any probs. with the window sticking since I started. Always the pass window. I even washed the car with it cracked & it didn`t leak!
Pep boys has some sweeeet roll down window handles that would look stunning in a C5. Jk. I hear ya about the window roll down, gets annoying at times. But if thats the only thing that annoys me about the car, im doing alright!! Jay
