Default Cold Air Intake Inquiry

I am considering adding a cold air intake system to my 2001 C-5 with automatic transmission. Based on what I can read in the advertisements I should select a system brand designed for my vehicle and also upgrade the mass air flow sensor to one with a larger opening for more air intake. Need advice on the best way to proceed, verification of what I need to include for this upgrade, any brand recommendations, and any retuning that may be needed. Many thanks. Ed

Vararam: http://www.shop.jwmotoring.com/produ...&productId=113

Leave the MAF alone.

VaraRam is the only change you need to make.
although some complain about fit and finish, it is regarded by most as the CAI of choice.

Default I Agree!

I Agree! Buy a Vararam B2 Cold Air Intake. Your stock MAF is fine. Use that money to get a ported throttle body. You'll enjoy!

I will also agree with the Vararam as a great CAI....but not sure what it would do for your vet assuming the rest of the car is stock. I know some guys will tell you it is worth it for the "seat of the pants feel" but I would be leaning toward a cat-back system first.
