Default powerduct for Vararam

Does the Vararam powerduct give any noticable improvment in performance when installed with the Vararam intake?
I have a lightly modded 04 coupe.
Is there any difference between the "Vararam" brand and lets say "Halltech" or other powerducts?
I was just wandering which way to go before i install.
Any info or experiance will help

I gained 75 RWHP with it, just kidding. I think an appropiate name for the device would be "power suck" since that is what it's doing with the cash in your wallet.

Lefty, I have both the vararam intake and air bridge. If I could have done it all over again I'd save myself the hassle and would have bought a cheaper intake system. The design concept is awesome but it's not a high quality unit. It's a bunch of plastic glued together. If you want to spend $385 on that, then so be it. I daily drive my car and sometimes I worry about the heavy florida rain we're often exposed to. They claim they won't suck water but they do a little bit.

There will be very little (if any at all) gain in having a vararam vs any other intake. Buy what you find the best deal on. Anything you slap on there will be better than the stock unit. The amount of power you make is limited by your throttle body and everything behind it. Opening up the front will help only a little bit, but don't buy stock in the ram air bs. It's all horse ****.

As for the bridge, I noticed no difference but sleep better at night knowing I have a smoother flow, but it makes no difference really. For $80 bucks why not. Maybe it'll add a couple horsepower in the future when I build the motor up more.

You'll notice a slight improvement. It's advertised in terms of flow and not HP. I added it after my VRB2 and noticed better air flow and throttle response.

We carry them also:

People love wasting their money. I paid $265. for the B2. And $68. for the Power Duct.

Both worth it. There is fitment issues with both, but workable.

How was the increased or "better" air flow measured?
