car wont start
i have a 98 c5 and it wont start. when i open the door the light wont come on then when i try to start it it wont even turn over. if i just leave it in the acc on the key it will say all these alerts like low fuel,reduce engine speed, ect but if i disconnect the batt and reconnect it it starts any ideas....

Big rain storm and a flash flood hydrolocked the engine and when the previous owner abondoned ship water came in the pass floorboard and got the bottom of the BCM wet. I got the car CHEAP because of it. New rebuilt engine $250 from a guy who just totalled his 00 Z28, BCM from E-bay for $150. Had to do the handshake thing 10mins key on, 5 secs off 3 times in a row to get the computers to make friends and work together, but now runs drives great. I had the exact same problems you describe plus the hatch would not pop.
