took about 2-2.5hrs of teedy work. the scoops and fog light bezels do not fit the way i would hope. i tried all the different shims and ways to adjust. I was very suprised when i bolted the lid to the ducts and it fit almost perfect. Everything up top lines up, the intake ducts are a different story. I think i noticed a decent increase in performance third gear seems to pull alot harder. Does anyones fit perfect?
Mine fit perfect, but it took closer to 6 hours, most of which was getting everything moved around so the radiator shroud woud fit flat instead of curved. If the tubes are at the wrong angle, the shroud will want to curve in the middle instead of fitting flat against the top flange. Make sure you move any wiring that is in the way of the tubes fitting tightly up against the front frame rail. I uncliped the wireing running along the bottom of the frame rail and moved it out of the way. The instructions also warned about removing two studs from the air box on the frame rail for some models.
You have a harder job than me, since the 99s do not require the use of the spacers.
Mine fit well. Did use some sealant to seal it up more completely though. Kind of disappointed with the factory seal being so incomplete. But like yourself- did notice a harder pull at highway speed. Good time on your install. You have me beat by quite a bit!!
everything fit fine except around the fog lights and scoop. my shroud fit just fine and i removed the two studs. **** 2.5 hrs for me is forever. It takes less than that to swap a rear end in an f-body.

I ended up dremeling the flashing in the fog light area to clean that up. I also had to rework the fog light brackets to lower the fogs down into the holes better. All that involved was grinding the holes longer and bending the tab flat so I could slide the fog lights down the mounting bolt more.
Yes I shouldn't HAVE to, but I did, I enjoy it, and I'd do it again.
