Hi!
I have a 2001 z06 completely stock, only borla exhaust.
And now i want to buy a fast lsx 92mm and 92 body throttle and a new camshaft.
i was looking for a ms4, but is too big, so i decided for the ms3 from TSP, or the 233/239 111 LSA.
So my question is: wich of those (ms3 or 233/239) will be the best for my vette. Is the MS3 too big for daily drive??
If that is all the motor work you will have then eiter would be fine. If you want a blower then you will need a blower cam, and they arent that big.
The cam wont be too big for a dailyt driver, its if you want to hear it rumble and shake the car all the time. If you dont mind that and the noise from it go for it. Remember to get new valve springs, and hardened pushrods.

Ok thanks!
will there be any valve clearance issues using the MS3 or another problem to worry about??
I saw it at lmperformance.com but there isnt specs about it.
Specs are on LG's website although they're a little secretive about the exact specs. Do a search on here or over on ls1tech and you should find out a lot about it. It's a great cam but I believe requires flycutting the pistons so it may be too big for what you're wanting to do.
ms3/4 is a great cam. so is the Trex. but they are suited more for top end all out hp and high rpm shifting and work best on cars with big gears (3.90+).
driving around the street in stop and go traffic and burst, you might get out run by a little TR224 cam, cause he's making way more power/tq under the curve than you are.
something to consider. i'd pick the cam on what kind of driving your going to be doing. be it hwy runs, at the track on a tire, or playing around on the street.
my guess with those other mods. probably in the 450-460hp range. do you have headers yet?

My 2001 M6 made 413.8 RWHP with AFE II CAI, MS3, dual springs, hardened push rods, ported throttle body, LG Pros, no cats, Stingers, tuned with EFI Live. Stock heads and stock LS6 intake manifold. On two different dynos with 2 HP difference between to two.

I am going to go against the grain here and recommend you look into an ECS blower cam. The cam has great drivability characterstics and makes great power under the curve.
There is a post on here of a member's car that was a Z06 with bolt-ons and ecs cam w/ stock heads. Put down 430 rwhp!
I would recommend not getting a cam that requires you to fly-cut the pistons. Pistons are one of the weak points on these cars as it is. No sense making it worse.
