Default K Harness has been removed, now what??

I'm working on fixing my service column lock issues and have found the sticky to be extremely helpful. One of the solutions was to remove the k harness and restore to original.

I have located the harness and am ready to do this but I'm putting a full charge on the battery before I go any further. All related fuses have been pulled and replaced. Have checked the grounds on driver and passenger sides and they are good.

My main concern is damaging the BCM by restoring the wiring to original. Is this a possibility?

I'll be in Houston next week and will get a CLB from CoH just thought I'd try this out.

Thanks.

Just reconnect the actuator under the column. Reconnecting the actuator is an emergency measure just to make the car driveable, but is not a long term solution.
One thing to note, if you reconnect the actuator and it fails, you will be stuck.
You might want to consider installing a more reliable column lock simulator relay if you are removing the GM version. (Harness K)
