Headlight Trivia - Gear Grinds / Stuck

Headlight Help - Gear Grinds / Stuck
I just replaced my turn signal and in the process of manually raising my headlight to gain access to the turn signal seem to have broke it the headlight.
I closed the headlight finished the job and it poped up the first time no problem. When I went to shut them off it goes down flush completely with the hood and then starts grinding. Tried to adjust the manual **** and it still grinds every time it go to shut the headlight.
For now I turned it up all the way and its stuck in the raised position.
Please help, is there an adjustment on the headlight. The motor works fine and it pops up and down perfectly. Just grinds once its flush.
