I did as stated above with a stick and mine actually wobbles slightly with the newer GM balancer on there. (new engine) I read many posts on this subject and many people feel it is an acceptable GM "thing" so if it is not excessive in your opinion, it may be normal. I don't like it, but I don't like what is involved with the fix in pulling the rack out, so I try not to let it bother me. My engine runs smoothly with no vibrations, so I'm gambling that it is going to stay put and not destroy the thrust bearing. You do definately need to make sure it is not loose or spinning on the crank though if you decide it is "normal GM quality".

Bonded piece of crap....it would have to wobble a lot though to come apart. As others have said, a little wobble is unfortunately considered normal (due to gm's loose specs )

I have a 2006 and my crank shaft pully wobbles and makes a small squeaking noise. Whats a good replacement for it and how much does it cost. Also where do Iget one at. Thanks Ed

Nothing like dragging up a 4 year old thread in the C5 Tech section when the question apparently relates to a C6 (2006).
