I installed a set myself. There is a lot of write up on these headers. If I was to do it again I would have gone with the LG's, but I think you should read the discussion and make a decision for yourself. The stuff I grumbled about didn't bother some guys. Mostly it comes down to the O2 sensors and the angle hitting the tranmission tunnel cover. Most guys just cut a hole in the tunnel, I cut the O2 sensor bungs and rewelded them. A lot guys opted not to run any of the emissions stuff either. Mines all works.
As an FYI, if you decide to run the AIR tubes, the passenger side one is too far a stretch. It should be on #8 instead of #6 and you have to either get an AIR tube for the later C5 or do what I did, move the tube and reweld it. In either case order yourself a set of AIR gasket ahead of time. I could't find anybody who had them locally so I ordered them from Rock Auto. They are only a buck a piece for GM gaskets.

That's true, but in this case it would only take a few changes to make a big difference, plus the model of header I have is for the later C5, supposedly there is a version of header made for the older C5, so the problem with AIR tube is not necessarily the manufacturers error.
Overall the quality is decent, thick flanges, nice welds. I see the complaints, but I've had worse with a set of super comps. Old school hot rodders are just used to dealing with aftermarket stuff that doesn't fit perfect. Try doing bodywork with aftermarket replacement panels, now that is something to really complain about!
Those are hollow resonators, similar to mini-bullet mufflers.
The hardware (from reading the other threads) are junk.... go to a hardware store and get better bolts along with ordering quality stainless band clamps as the included ones are trash-can garnish.
Also, you'll need O2 extensions and be willing to chop/drill a notch in your tunnel plate.
Otherwise, very nice hp numbers, nice build quality, and a verrrry nice price (China slave labor)
I'm considering them... I'd want some that have no emmissions crap.
I bought a set, haven't installed yet. Impressed with the look of the build, just have to see how they fit. I am installing on a 99, so I got the air tubes for an 04 to solve that issue. Gonna install high flow cats as well.

That's another thing to consider is the extra $40 bucks for the air tubes. I don't know if that is a pain to do or not. It looked difficult to get in the back, but I never tried it either. So now if you add the $40 for the AIR tube to new band clamps ($40) to the cats ($200) and throw in another $10 for hardware you are paying about $950. The LG's were $1200. So it comes down do a difference of about $250. Is your time for the extra headaches worth it. That is the decision only you can make.
