Checking tire pressure sensors
I just replaced the batteries on a couple of (97-99) tire pressure sensors. Can I check these outside of the tires to see if I replaced the batteries correctly, I have 1 wheel that does not have sensor in it.

The magnet activates a small reed switch inside the sensor. That in turn wakes up the sensor and it communicates with the receiver making it is "trained" and it confirms that with a horn honk. You then mark the sensor as to which tire location it goes and move on to the next sensor.
