is there any way to stop it from doing this? apparently the seat backs go about 6-7 inches forward even when they are locked. during heavy braking the passenger seat always flops forward, and it is very distracting.
Mine does it too. A while back on had posted this situation and I didnt get any responses. I used to have pics of where I noticed the problem. Not sure if there is a fix and its a bad design or if there is a purpose for the back (top) seat to flop. I wish I had a fix or wished I knew of a fix. Maybe you'll get someone to post a fix
I had a seat frame down stairs and I took a look at it. There is a cable on each side of the seat frame (front and back of the frame) that attaches on the inside of the lower part of the bolsters. Each cable is attached to a silver rod(pin) that slides up and down into a notch into the lower seat frame (each side) . If this pin (which works independently for each side) does not fit into the notch, the seat back can move forward.
Check the movement of the pin while you move the rear lever up. There does not seem to be any adjustment, but I could be wrong. There is a nut on each side that connects each cable to the lower end of the seat. Is it on the bolt?
