My 1999 Corvette had been sitting for awhile, so I recharged the car battery. The fob didn't work (didn't try reprogrammning) so I put in a new battery. After reprogramming, the car horn will periodically beep (about every hour or so). Any suggestions?
I'm having a very similar problem too. At first my car started acting just like yours then it got worse. Next the horn started to stick here and there when I would use it, now it stays on full blast all the time. I had to disconnect it till I could figure it out. I think I read something about a mechanisim that goes bad near the airbag or something? Can anyone help us out? PLease and Thank You!

Does it happen when your driving?
If happens when with the car in the garage or driveway and your key fob is not far away 30' - 50' then check the passive switch on the key fob. I had a similar problem while the car was sitting in the garage the horn would beep, and the doors would lock/unlock at random times. Somehow the passive switch got moved it looked like it was off but it wasn't. Switched it back and forth a few times and then off. Haven't had a problem since.
