Default Exhaust help please!!

Installed a Mid-America Motorworks exhaust. Please answer this question: How far down should the tips sit from the bumper? Is it possible to burn the back bumper/melt the paint if they are too close? I've adjusted these things several times already. They look MUCH better closer to the bumper but I moved them down again because I'm not sure if the bumper could get damaged. But now I think it looks like crap! HELP!!

Do you have the stock tips installed or??
Normally there is about a quarter of an ich between the tips and bumper cover. It is possible to melt it if they are touching. As long as there is some air space between the bumper and tips I wouldnt worry.

When I installed my Corsa Touring,,I just flattened out my hand and used my fingertips and raised the tips to a moderately firm fit for my fingers tips. It put them + or minus 3/8 to 1/3". Looked nice and even!! You could use about a 10" long scrap of 3/8" plywood as a spacer between tips and bumper as a guide!!
