when decelerating...what's the best way to cut most of it out?
Headers, X-Pipe?
I currently have the Corsa Indies, and while I love the sound at WOT, I sure would like to get rid of most of the "popping".
It's tuff to eliminate all of the popping with coarsa. I have a Corsa Touring and a Corsa Cross over pipe, but it didn't remove the popping.
A friend has Coras Indy's and an "H" pipe but he still has popping, so nstalled an X pipe. He still has popping.
(Returning to stock will defenantly do it)
Tim
The X-pipe really cut down my popping. :D
I seem to remember reading something on this forum about 99-00 H-pipes having a smaller cross over hole than other model years, making an X-pipe more effective at reducing the popping. (not 100% sure about the model years with smaller hole)
Mine did pop pretty loud, maybe you have an early 01 with the smaller holes and you may see good results.
I still have a little popping and I am happy with the X-pipe. :)
Totally agree with louzon!!!!! :yesnod: :yesnod: :yesnod:
I have a 2002 with Corsa Indy's Loved the "Speed Boat" Sound at wot
since then i installed a "X-Pipe" I lost a lot of the popping and the exhaust was a little softer!!!! Get many Compliments on the sound...Cant wait till the headers come in.... :smash:
Go with the an x-pipe to reduce the popping. I held off on getting an x-pipe due to lack of funds, but have decided to stay with the stock H pipe cause I love the sound!
