My 98 corvette has a duel climate control. The driver side was blowing hot air, and the passenger side was blowing cold air. I removed the battery terminal to reset the computer, and now the driver side is cool and the passenger side is blowing hot air. I removed the battery terminal several times, but the problem still consists. Anybody know how to solve this problem?
1) Pull the Codes from the Diagnostic information center (DIC). You are looking for the HVAC Codes.
2) The problem is the electronic servo style actuators. They are out of range. What you did with the battery is reset them and force them to re-index. Sometimes this works, sometimes not -- as you have found.
3) If re-indexing doesn't work (and there's a thread on here detailing how to do it) then you will need to replace them (another thread). The drivers' side can be accessed by laying on your back and reaching after you remove the knee bolster. The passengers' side requires dash removal.
