Hey everyone. I've spent the last couple hours doing searches for my particular issue, and haven't had any luck. Hopefully someone out there has experienced my problem and can recommend a remedy.
I installed the CLB from Corvettes of Houston this afternoon. After the installation, the DIC was prompting the "Service Column Lock", so I proceeded to reset the BCM with the removal of fuse 23. All is well now with the steering column, but the IPC buttons completely quit on me. They don't beep, and none of the buttons work. Geesh...if it's not one thing, it's another... Any help is much appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Without the buttons working you obviously cannot pull up any codes. I looked at the shop manual and it instructs connecting a Scan Tool ( Tech II) and obtaining codes and then use the tool to perform the operation of the buttons.. Short of that I might uninstall the CLB and see what if anything that does and/or disconnecting the battery for at least 10 minutes in the hope that the BCM got into some confused state that a reset will clear.
Thanks 8VETTE7! I really appreciate your help. I don't have a Scan Tool, so I'll try uninstalling the CLB and/or disconnecting the battery for a BCM reset. Thanks again!
